CHO-CO-NUT COOKIES AKA BISKUT MADU TIGA

This is interesting, Madu Tiga literally means having three wives and I just don't know how to relate having three wives with this cookie however this cookie is a MUST for us during Hari Raya. It has been in the family cookies list since my grandma times. Very addictive!!!!

A classic combination of chocolate, coconut and almonds tops the cookie in this recipe. 

This cookie has plenty of dessicated. Coconut. The cookies smell like toasting coconut when they’re in the oven, and you are left with cookies that have a great texture – crispy edges and hewy centers – when they are finished baking.

INGREDIENTS

1 can dessicated coconut / 1 tin kelapa kering
2 can Self raising Flour / 2 tin tepung naik sendiri
1 can granulated sugar / 1 tin gula pasir
1 egg yolk / 1 biji kuning telur
1 tsp vanilla / 1 sdt vanilla
½ can cocoa powder / ½ tin serbuk koko
Sufficient margarine to form a dough / Majerin ikut basah
Sufficient almond slices for decorations/Badam secukupnya untuk hiasan

·         Use the dessicated coconut can for the measurement in this reipe /Gunakan tin kelapa kering untuk menyukat semua bahan dalam resipi ini.

PREPARATIONS
  • · Combine and mix all ingredients/Campurkan semua bahan  
        Add margarine to form into soft dough / Masuk marjerin dan uli ikut basah·        
        Roll and cut using triagle cookie cutter/Canai dan terap menggunakan acuan tiga segi.
  • ·   Beat egg white, brush on cookies and arrange almond slice in triagle shape/ Pukul putih telur dan sapukan ke atas biskut. Atur badam dalam bentuk tiga segi.

  • ·         Bake at 170 C for 15-20 minutes/ Bakar pada suhu 170 C selama 15-20 minit.

Mendengarkan namanya cukup menyeramkan tetapi biskut ini cukup sedap, cukup ranggup dan jika memulakannya susah hendak berhenti. Biskut evengreen yang cukup popular sekitar tahun 50 an dan merupakan satu kemestian buat keluarga saya jika Hari Raya.

Hi Diana. Madu 3 ni memang sedap crup...crup...gitu ranggup dan chocolaty..apa pun yang penting makan aje Madu 3, jangan dimadukan 3 sudah la ya.
