SARDIN MASAK LEMAK CILI PADI

Have you tried Sardine Masak Lemak Cili Padi? Or have you heard of it? If your answer is no, try this recipe. When I first heard about it I was like...yak...yak...what's a dish??????. Out of curiosity I tried, my cousin said it was popular among the Nogori people. Sardine, cassava leaves and Chinese cucumber with Lemak Cili Padi..... sound wired but the actual fact it was awesome. Surprisingly my children love it. So let's check this out..... Of course this dish goes well with sambal belacan, ikan selar goreng and hot rice. Try this ...perghhh.....



Sardine Masak Lemak Cili Padi




INGREDIENTS
I large can sardine / 1 tin besar sadin
1 group cassava leaves cut and blanch / 1 ikat pucuk ubi hiris dan celur
2 chinese cucumber cut diagonal/ 2 biji timun cina- potong menyerong
25 bird's eyes chilies/ 25 biji cili padi
2 onion / 2 biji bawang besar
2" turmeric root / 2" kunyit hidup
2 cups thick coconut milk / 2 cawan santan pekat
3 cups thin coconut milk / 3 cups thin cocounut milk
1 lemongrass smashed / 1 batang serai titik
salt to taste / garam secukup rasa
METHOD

  1. Blend bird eye's chilies, onions and turmeric root into paste./ Blend cili padi, bawang dan kunyit hidup hingga halus.
  2. In a pot add in the blended paste, 3 cups thin coconut milk and lemongrass to boil. Add in blanch cassava shoots, chinese cucumber and sardine. (sardine together with the sauce) and salt to taste. Wait till bubbling and add in thick coconut milk. Simmer for about 10 minutes and off the heat. Ready to serve./ Dalam periuk masukkan bahan blend dan santan cair, serai dan masak hingga mendidih. Masukkan timun Cina dan pucuk ubi yang dicelur dahulu, sardin dengan sosnya sekali dan garam secukup rasa. Masak hingga mendidih, baru masukkan santan pekat. Masak lagi dengan api kecil selama 10 minit dan padamkan api. Angkat dan sedia dihidang.

Sardin Masak Lemak Cili Padi ?????Pelik !!!!!!!Tidak pernah rasa!!!!!!! Begitulah bila menu ini dicadangkan oleh sepupu saya. Kebetulan saya berkunjung ke rumahnya di Kuala Lumpur dan secara kebetulan saya dan anak-anak puasa enam, jadi Sardin Masak Lemak Cili Padi merupakan menu buka puasa kami. Mula-mula saya rasa agak pelik, ya lah selalunya sardin dimasak asam, sambal tumis mahupun kari, tapi lemak cili padi belum pernah saya cuba. Tapi itulah ternyata sangkaan saya meleset sekali. Ternyata menu ini memang enak, pula kena dengan nasi yang agak-agak lembik dan panas, sambal belacan, ikan masih dan ulam-ulaman perghhh, cukup menyelerakan. Cubalah resipi ini tanpa ragu-ragu ternyata hebat.

kak klu gna srdin homemade lgi jimat kos ye..heehee..kita ada jgk duk wak srdin..time rjin la..tpi ada yg buat msk kari pun srdin ni kan..smua bleh rpenya gna srdin ni..memang ada ulam nga ikan msin..mau mkn brpngan2..cdpnyeee..lapar la plak pepagi ni..sni bru pkul 6.30 pgi...

Sebab tu lah, Kak selalu spare sardin, klu emergency atau malas, inilah dia menunya.First time buat masak lemak. OK la anak-anak suka juga.

Sardin ni boleh masak segala jenis.. i orang nogori selalu masak lemak cilipadi sardin macam resepi diatas..but sometimes tukar + kentang or belimbing buluh.. Selain gulai kari.masak asam pedas sardin letak daun kesom and bunga kantan pun sodap..the taste is awesome..yummy
